As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), you begin by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams; Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66. You must obtain the SIE within 30 days of hire and the Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. After licensing, you learn foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ complex financial pictures; and guiding them with advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, you begin working in a financial center to help deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions and client-care approach. The role includes world-class training and onboarding, Academy manager coaching, and a defined consultative approach to identifying client needs and appropriate solutions. You will interact with banking customers, small business owners, and higher-net-worth clients; provide comprehensive advice and client reviews or presentations; recommend strategies aligned with clients’ financial goals and life priorities; and collaborate with banking and investment partners to connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill solutions. Successful licensed Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they continue developing their skills and growing and deepening relationships within a client portfolio. Further advancement opportunities are available within Bank of America and Merrill, with ongoing Academy programs, tools, and resources. This role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential mortgage loan origination must register with the federal registry system, complete the required background check and registration process, and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination. The position is open across the market, and the specific Financial Center location will be based on business needs. If offered the position, you will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center location within a reasonable commuting distance of your home is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The role follows a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, and is 40 hours per week.
