About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). After licensing, the advisor learns foundational skills in acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ complex financial circumstances; and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions and Bank of America’s approach to client care. The role includes structured training, onboarding, coaching, and development through the Academy. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II and may pursue other roles within Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registration with the federal registry system and a required background check. Employees must obtain and maintain good-standing registration; failure to do so may result in immediate termination. The SIE must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. The role is open across the market, with the specific financial center location determined by business needs. Training will take place at one financial center. The advisor may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center location within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, first shift, 40 hours per week.
