About The Position

As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the employee begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study support for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After licensing, the employee learns foundational advising skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial circumstances; and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the employee begins working in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions and client care. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they continue developing their skills and deepen relationships within a client portfolio, with opportunities to advance into other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The role includes structured training, onboarding, one-on-one coaching, and support from Academy managers. Advisors use a consultative approach to identify client needs, provide comprehensive advice, conduct client reviews and presentations, and recommend strategies aligned with clients’ financial goals and priorities. They collaborate with banking and investment partners and connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill solutions. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registration with the federal registry system and completion of the required background check and registration process. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The position is open across the market; the specific financial center will be determined by business needs. The employee will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center within reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on first shift, for 40 hours per week.
