The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with dedicated training to obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). After licensing, the advisor learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, assessing clients’ financial circumstances, and guiding them with advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to provide core banking and investment solutions and client care. The Academy provides training, tools, and resources throughout the role and career journey. Successful licensed Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they continue developing client relationships within a portfolio. Successful Stage II advisors may have opportunities to advance into other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. The employee must complete the required registration and background-check process and maintain good standing; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The position is in-office, with the assigned financial center based on business needs. An employee may initially train at one center and potentially begin in a phone-based capacity until another center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by law.
