About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams; Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66. The advisor then learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, understanding clients’ financial circumstances, and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions and provide client care. Successful licensed Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they continue developing their skills and growing relationships within a client portfolio, with opportunities to advance into other Bank of America and Merrill roles. The Academy provides programs, tools, resources, training, and coaching throughout development. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system, complete the required background check and registration process, and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The role is open across the market, and the specific financial center location will be determined by business needs. An employee may train at one financial center and initially work in a phone-based capacity until another center within a reasonable commuting distance of home is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on first shift, for 40 hours per week.
