About The Position

At Bank of America, the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study support for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After becoming licensed, the advisor learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; assessing clients’ financial circumstances; and offering advice and solutions that support their financial goals. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions and provide client care. Successful licensed Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they develop and deepen relationships within a client portfolio. Further advancement opportunities are available within Bank of America and Merrill, with career support from the Academy. The role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. The employee must register with the federal registry system, complete the required background check and registration process, and maintain good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination. The position includes structured training, onboarding, one-on-one coaching, and dedicated study time. The advisor uses a consultative approach to identify client needs, provides comprehensive advice and client reviews or presentations, recommends strategies, and collaborates with banking and investment partners to connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill solutions.
