As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the employee begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After licensing, training covers foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, understanding clients’ complex financial circumstances, and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the employee works in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions and client care. Successful licensed Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they continue developing skills and deepening relationships within a client portfolio. The Academy provides programs, tools, and resources throughout the career journey. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration, including registration with the federal registry system and completion of the required background check and registration process; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The role includes structured lessons and dedicated study time to earn the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses (or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of Series 66). The SIE must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. The employee will work with banking customers, small business owners, and higher-net-worth clients, provide comprehensive advice and client reviews or presentations, recommend strategies aligned with clients’ financial goals and life priorities, and collaborate with banking and investment partners to connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill solutions. The position is open across the market, with the specific financial center determined by business needs. The employee will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, 40 hours per week, on first shift.
