About The Position

As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the candidate begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). After licensing, the candidate learns foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial circumstances; and guiding them with advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the candidate works in a financial center to deliver core banking, investment solutions, and client care. The role typically progresses to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II after demonstrated success, with continued development of client relationships and opportunities to advance within Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy provides programs, tools, and resources throughout the career journey. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including federal registry registration, a background check, and maintaining good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The role includes training and onboarding, coaching from Academy managers, a consultative approach to identifying client needs, networking with banking customers and business owners, providing comprehensive advice and client reviews, recommending financial strategies, and collaborating with banking and investment partners. The position is open across the entire market; the specific financial center location depends on business needs. The candidate initially trains at one financial center and may then work in a phone-based capacity until another center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, as permitted by law.
