About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After licensing, the advisor learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; considering clients’ complex financial situations; and providing advice and solutions. At key milestones, the advisor begins working in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions and Bank of America’s approach to client care. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio. Further advancement opportunities are available across Bank of America and Merrill, with Academy programs, tools, and resources supporting development. The role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registration with the federal registry system and completion of the required background check and registration process. Employees must maintain good standing; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The position requires obtaining the SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on first shift, for 40 hours per week. The position is open across the market, and the specific financial center will be determined by business needs. The employee will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until another center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
