About The Position

At Bank of America, the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with dedicated, personalized instruction to prepare for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After obtaining the required licenses, the advisor receives training in foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; considering clients’ complex financial pictures; and guiding clients with advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to help deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions and its approach to client care. The role provides a development path: successful licensed FSA I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio. Further advancement opportunities are available within Bank of America and Merrill, with career support from the Academy’s programs, tools, and resources. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. The role requires registration and a SAFE Act background check; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination. The position is open across the market, and the specific financial center location will depend on business needs. Training takes place at one financial center, and the role may initially be phone-based until another financial center location within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, as permitted by applicable law.
