As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the employee begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). The role requires obtaining the SIE within 30 days of hire and the Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. After licensing, the employee learns foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; considering clients’ complex financial circumstances; and guiding them with advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the employee works in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions, and client care approach. Successful employees typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II and may pursue other roles at Bank of America and Merrill, with Academy programs, tools, and resources supporting development. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system, remain in good standing, and complete the required background check and registration process. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The position is open across the market, and the specific financial center location will depend on business needs. The employee will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, 40 hours per week, on first shift.
