Financial Reporting Accountant

The Financial Reporting Accountant at Verisign is responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data to support the preparation of internal and external financial reporting. This includes compiling supporting documentation for SEC filings, running reports from the financial accounting system, and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial packages. The role also involves preparing journal entries for stock-based compensation and assisting in the statutory reporting for foreign subsidiaries. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, along with 2+ years of relevant accounting experience. Proficiency in MS Excel and a CPA certification are preferred qualifications.

• Compiling supporting documentation for disclosures included in various SEC filings
• Assisting in XBRL tagging and drafting disclosures
• Running reports from the financial accounting system to prepare supporting documentation for financial statements and earnings materials
• Assisting the team in working with external auditors and providing supporting documentation for audit requests
• Assisting in preparing the monthly financial package for internal reporting
• Preparing journal entries related to stock-based compensation
• Assisting in the administration of company stock plans
• Assisting in the preparation of foreign subsidiary statutory financial reporting and other related tasks

• Bachelors' Degree in Finance, Accounting or a Business-related degree, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years relevant experience in accounting, preferably at a Big 4 or other national accounting firm
• Working experience in MS Excel
• CPA preferred
• Reside in CO, CA, NY, or Washington St

• Annualized pay range of $70,600 - $95,500
