About the position
Verisign is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join their mission-driven organization and serve as a consultant to management. The role involves developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with strategic business objectives, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, addressing employee relations matters, analyzing HR metrics, and promoting diversity and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, 8-12 years of HR business partnering experience, expertise in HR policies and employment law, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and foster an engaging work environment.
- Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions with the ability to resolve employee relations concerns through effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement proactive solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in employment laws.
- Cultivate a positive company culture by promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR-related projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8-12 years' experience in HR business partnering
- Demonstrated expertise in HR policies, practices, and employment law
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional customer service skills and judgment with a passion for working collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proven attention to detail; diligent and extremely organized
- Highly responsive
- Adaptable and flexible to navigate dynamic business processes and work independently
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, etc.)
