About The Position

Lexus of Portland, part of Holman, is seeking a Finance Consultant to support its finance and insurance operations. The role ensures customers are offered financing, payment protection, and other appropriate products and services, while maintaining customer satisfaction and following up on outstanding contracts and titles. The consultant reviews customer credit information, assesses credit applications, stays current on finance and insurance products and manufacturer policies, and trains sales consultants on F&I products and related paperwork. The role may also assist desk managers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a successful finance and insurance operation.
• Ensure buyers are offered financing, payment protection, and other appropriate products and services carried by the dealership.
• Maintain a follow-up system for collecting one-pay contracts and outstanding titles.
• Obtain and maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
• Process, review, and analyze customers’ credit reports.
• Run customer credit reports containing credit history and confidential consumer data.
• Analyze customers’ credit histories to assess the probability of bank acceptance of credit applications.
• Maintain knowledge of finance and insurance products and manufacturers’ policies.
• Train and manage sales consultants on F&I products and related paperwork.
• Maintain industry knowledge and create and maintain relationships with industry contacts.
• Assist desk managers as necessary.
