About The Position

The Field Technician installs, aligns, maintains, and repairs Flock’s camera, solar, battery, mounting-pole, and related infrastructure at public and private sites. The role combines new deployments with ongoing maintenance of cameras, solar systems, and mobile trailers, helping keep safety hardware operational across communities. Work is performed outdoors in the field, including on rooftops and at heights up to 30 feet, and requires travel within the region and occasional Saturday work.

Requirements

Practical experience in low-voltage wiring, electrical assembly, construction, or technical field service.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and work outdoors independently on dynamic daily routes.
Ability to safely drive service vans and trucks and tow small equipment trailers on public and private roads.
Comfort using mobile applications and basic digital tools to log service records, submit site photos, and track inventory.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to travel as required and work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays for travel or project completion.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain camera systems, solar panels, batteries, and mounting poles.
Conduct site surveys with public safety partners and property owners to verify traffic control plans and permit compliance.
Prepare sites, including digging post holes, installing mounting hardware, and aligning LPR and PTZ cameras.
Diagnose and repair field hardware, software connections, and minor disruptions to private underground wiring or irrigation.
Record completed installations, inventory logs, and service records in the mobile field application, and manage local equipment shipments.
Operate power and hand tools, ladders, bucket trucks, and lifts safely, including work at heights up to 30 feet.
Drive field vehicles and tow support trailers while following environmental and workplace safety protocols.
