About The Position

The Field Tech will perform a walk-through of the facility to repair or replace any components on a suite of custom configured network devices in support of multi-year state and county contracts. Field Techs perform installations at the new site. This requires putting together a significant amount of network equipment for the inmate phone system and associated add on components in support of the contract. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of multiple network disciplines and perform advanced network diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
• Must be able to develop good working relationships with facility personnel.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong team oriented business skill.
• Professional attitude in dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain inmate phone systems at correctional facilities within an assigned region.
• Perform a walk-through of the facility to repair or replace any components on a suite of custom configured network devices.
• Perform installations at the new site, including assembling network equipment for the inmate phone system and associated add-on components.
• Travel throughout assigned territory as needed.
