About The Position

The OT Field Services Tech II is an experienced, field-based technical professional who independently troubleshoots, repairs, tests, and maintains Operational Technology (OT) systems supporting RWE power-generation assets. Working within approved processes and procedures, the role resolves moderately complex faults involving field devices, communication links, basic network-connected equipment, and power supplies. The technician interprets OT diagrams, network drawings, wiring schematics, manuals, and device parameters to diagnose issues and implement practical solutions. The role coordinates field activities with Operations, OT support, Engineering, project teams, and vendors, including access arrangements, outage windows, planned maintenance, and small equipment modifications. It supports commissioning and operational handover by verifying installation, connectivity, configuration, and functional performance; maintains work and asset documentation; contributes feedback on recurring issues and improvement opportunities; and provides informal guidance to junior technicians. The position supports wind, solar, battery energy storage, thermal, hydro, and other generation facilities. Work locations may include substations, control houses, communications shelters, equipment rooms, outdoor electrical areas, and remote or unmanned sites. Approximately 50% travel is expected, including regional and national overnight or multi-day assignments. Short-notice travel may be required for critical incidents. The position is full-time and permanent. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
