About The Position

The OT Field Services Tech II is an experienced, field-based technical professional who independently troubleshoots, repairs, performs corrective maintenance and functional testing, and implements approved work on Operational Technology (OT) systems supporting RWE power-generation assets. The role addresses moderately complex faults involving OT field devices, communication links, basic network-connected equipment, and power supplies. It uses OT diagrams, network drawings, wiring schematics, equipment manuals, device parameters, logs, and standard test equipment to identify issues and implement practical solutions within defined processes and approved procedures. The position coordinates field activities with Operations, OT support, Engineering, project teams, and vendors, including access arrangements, outage windows, planned maintenance, and small equipment modifications. It supports commissioning and operational handover by verifying installation, connectivity, configuration, and functional performance; maintains work and asset documentation; contributes feedback on recurring issues and improvements; and provides informal guidance to junior technicians. The role supports wind, solar, battery energy storage, thermal, hydro, and other generation facilities. Work may take place at substations, control houses, communications shelters, equipment rooms, outdoor electrical areas, and remote or unmanned locations. The position requires approximately 50% regional and national travel, including overnight and multi-day assignments, with short-notice travel possible for critical incidents. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. This is a full-time, permanent, non-exempt position.
