About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and make advanced repairs at customer locations to minimize downtime and work safely. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment; specialty locations may also include large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil-and-gas-related equipment. The position offers work on varied equipment, often in remote locations, and on-the-job training in a safety-focused environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

• Some trade school or equivalent training.
• One to two years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil-and-gas equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs.
• Mechanic's tools of the trade may be needed.
• CDL may be required in some locations; minimum age of 21 may apply.
