About The Position

SoCal JCB is an authorized dealer of JCB construction equipment, including skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, and telehandlers. The Field Service Technician repairs and maintains various types of aerial and earth-moving equipment. The role involves customer-site diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, system audits, and evaluations, along with completing reports of work performed. The position is non-exempt and may involve work in both an office and, occasionally, a manufacturing or factory environment.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 5 years of experience installing and maintaining machines.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Comfort working in an in-person office environment.
• Customer-service orientation, flexibility, and a high energy level.
• Excellent follow-through skills.
• Professional, polished demeanor and comfort in most social settings.
• Openness to domestic and international travel.
• Desire and demonstrated ability to learn and grow.

• Technical competence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit field reports documenting time and work completed on site.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
• Complete on-site system audits and evaluations.
