About The Position

Airgas is seeking a safety-minded Field Service Technician near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to install, maintain, repair, and remove bulk storage tanks and beverage carbonation systems at customer sites. The role supports the reliable operation of customers’ beverage and gas systems, including at restaurants, bars, and stadiums. It is not a delivery-route driving position; commercial vehicles such as F-550s or box trucks are used primarily to travel between customer jobs within a service area extending up to 150 miles from Philadelphia. The position involves hands-on mechanical work, troubleshooting and emergency service, system inspections, and replacement of faulty equipment. Physical tasks include working on ladders, running tubing through ceiling tiles, drilling into structures, and moving large stainless steel tanks with specialized hand trucks. Technicians work independently, adapt to changing daily schedules, and may occasionally stay overnight based on territory needs. Airgas provides the necessary tools, drills, and lines. Compensation is $28.00 per hour, with overtime availability. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 7:00 a.m. start time. Benefits begin after 30 days of employment.

  • Be able to work in a drug-free environment.

  • Be self-motivated, trainable, and adaptable to changing daily schedules.
  • Be willing to travel, including occasional overnight stays depending on territory needs.
