Field Service Technician | CDL Required

Airgas•Philadelphia, PA

About The Position

Airgas is seeking a safety-minded Field Service Technician near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to install, maintain, repair, and remove bulk storage tanks and beverage carbonation systems at customer sites. Technicians work at commercial locations such as restaurants, bars, and stadiums, helping keep customer beverage and gas systems reliable. This is not a delivery-route position: technicians use commercial service vehicles, such as F-550s or box trucks, mainly to travel between jobs in a service area within a 150-mile radius of Philadelphia. The work includes hands-on mechanical tasks using hand tools, power tools, and drills to run lines, install centralized Microbulk cryogenic tanks, set up gas monitors, and mount control boxes. Airgas provides the required tools, drills, and lines. Technicians respond to service calls, troubleshoot gas line and tank issues, inspect systems, and replace faulty equipment. The position also involves maneuvering on ladders, running tubing through ceiling tiles, drilling into structures, and using specialized hand trucks to move large stainless steel tanks. Technicians work independently and must be self-motivated, trainable, adaptable to changing daily schedules, and willing to travel, including occasional overnight stays depending on territory needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 7:00 a.m. start. Compensation is $28.00 per hour, with overtime availability. Benefits begin after 30 days of employment.
