About The Position

LayerZero Power Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled, safety-focused Field Service Technician to support its power distribution equipment. The role includes on-site and remote service to help ensure system reliability and performance. The technician will work with customers in critical industries, including data centers, financial services, computer service provision, and semiconductor manufacturing. Training takes place at LayerZero headquarters in Aurora, Ohio, and field service is performed at customer sites throughout the United States and Canada. Travel is required.

Requirements

• Service experience with electric power systems.
• Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards using PC-based programs.
• Safety awareness and knowledge of electrical PPE.
• Clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Electronics or electrical training from military service.
• Associate degree in an electrical field.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on static transfer switches, power distribution equipment, and remote power panels.
• Provide customer support on site, by email, and by phone.
• Maintain timely and detailed service records in the LayerZero system.
• Provide emergency response for critical incidents.
• Cover regularly scheduled time slots for LayerZero’s 24/7 incident response.
