About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen service technicians in the Bloomington, Minnesota area. Technicians service and repair restaurant and commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. Work may focus on commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both. The role includes independent field work and offers company-provided vehicles, steady commercial service work, and career growth opportunities. General Parts Group supports field service across 26 states and encourages technicians to pursue CFESA training certifications.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both.
- CFESA training certifications; the company encourages technicians to pursue them.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair commercial restaurant and kitchen equipment at customer locations.
- Work on commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills, commercial refrigeration such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins, or both.
- Work independently in the field.
Benefits
- Hourly rates from $25.00 to $40.00, based on experience.
