About The Position

Ecolab’s Nalco Water is seeking a Field Service Representative I to support water treatment and disinfection systems for customers, particularly in the microelectronics industry. Based in Austin, Texas, the role covers a territory within a 60-mile radius. The representative works independently in the field, builds customer relationships, and provides hands-on service to help protect customer systems and improve operational performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in water treatment or an industrial/mechanical environment.
Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, or dirty environments and to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, balance, walk, stand, and climb.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or trade school certification.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Experience in water treatment or the specialty chemical industry.
Familiarity with boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Deliver service and support for cooling tower cleaning and water disinfection.
Provide technical support and escalate complex challenges as needed.
Build customer relationships and promote best practices.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Perform chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts.
Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives at strategic district accounts to carry out agreed customer system assurance plans.
Identify and resolve customer pain points, escalating issues as required.
