About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring Field Sales Representatives for its Water Restoration department. The role focuses on pursuing sales opportunities and qualified leads supplied by field service technicians and call centers. The representative identifies and sells solutions to mitigate water-related property damage in residential and commercial settings, assesses moisture levels and restoration needs, provides competitive quotes, and follows up with customers. The position offers weekly base pay plus commission, with stated average annual earnings of $60,000–$80,000 and mileage reimbursement. Leads are provided, so cold calling is not required. Flexible work schedules are offered, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable background check under company standards.
Demonstrated focus on providing outstanding customer service.
Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of water restoration and its practices; plumbing experience is not required.
Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality.
Working knowledge of common software such as Word and Excel, and ability to use Roto-Rooter-specific programs.
Maintains IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certifications.
Medical clearance to wear a respirator and successful completion of a respirator fit test.

Nice To Haves

Previous outside sales experience, especially selling in-home services; other outside sales experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Identify and sell opportunities to mitigate water-related property damage in residential and commercial properties.
Assess properties to determine moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying to acceptable levels.
Proactively follow up with existing customers to provide solutions for plumbing or water-related issues.
Use the established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to quote repair and replacement options and close sales.
Serve as a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
