About The Position

Roto-Rooter is seeking a Field Sales Representative for its Water Restoration department. The role identifies and sells solutions to mitigate water-related property damage for residential and commercial customers. The representative assesses properties to determine moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying, follows up with customers about plumbing or water-related issues, prepares competitive quotes using the company pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines, and works to close sales. The representative also serves as a trusted source of information for customers. Leads are provided, and the position includes weekly base pay plus commission, mileage reimbursement, and a flexible work schedule. The stated average annual earnings are $75,000–$100,000.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable background check under company standards.
Demonstrated focus on outstanding customer service.
Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of Water Restoration and its practices; plumbing experience is not required.
Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality.
Working knowledge of common software such as Word and Excel, and ability to use other Roto-Rooter computer programs.
Maintains IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certifications.
Medical clearance to wear a respirator and completion of a respirator fit test.

Nice To Haves

Previous outside sales experience, especially selling in-home services, is strongly desired; other outside sales experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Pursue sales opportunities and qualified leads provided by field service technicians and call centers.
Identify and sell solutions to mitigate water damage for residential and commercial customers.
Assess properties to determine moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying to acceptable levels.
Follow up proactively with existing customers regarding plumbing or water-related issues and offer effective solutions.
Use the established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive repair or replacement quotes and close sales.
Serve as a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
