About The Position

ServiceMaster Restore in Columbus, Georgia is hiring a full-time Water Damage Restoration Technician to respond to residential and commercial water losses and help return properties to safe, dry conditions. The role involves hands-on, physical work as part of a team, using professional equipment and following clear direction and processes. Paid training is provided, and the role offers consistent year-round work and an advancement path from Technician to Lead Tech to Supervisor. Candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening and have a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and work on your feet.
Willingness to work on-call shifts.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, kneeling, and climbing.
Must successfully complete a background and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Construction, restoration, or trade experience.
IICRC certifications, or willingness to earn them.
Comfort using basic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform water extraction, controlled demolition, and cleanup.
Set, monitor, and remove drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.
Take moisture readings and assist with drying documentation.
Protect unaffected areas and customer property.
Load, unload, clean, and maintain equipment and vehicles.
Keep job sites clean, professional, and safe.
Respond to residential and commercial water losses and help restore properties to safe, dry conditions.
