About The Position

ServiceMASTER is seeking a Water Restoration Technician in the Columbus, Georgia area. The role supports disaster restoration by identifying and assessing water damage, performing extraction and related restoration work, setting up and monitoring drying equipment, and completing required documentation and job updates. The technician may also respond to after-hours service calls and work in inclement weather. Restoration experience is preferred but not required; company-paid training and competitive compensation and benefit packages are offered.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate with others in written and verbal form.
• Ability to operate a wide range of equipment common to construction demolition.
• Ability to work for long periods in extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to work in environments that have suffered fire, water, and wind damage.
• Ability to respond to after-hours service calls and work during inclement weather.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a background screening and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Restoration experience is preferred but not required.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify the source of the problem and scope of the water damage.
• Perform water extraction and pack-out of contents.
• Remove and dispose of non-salvageable flooring affected by water loss.
• Perform light construction demolition upon approval.
• Set up air movers and/or dehumidifiers and monitor them daily.
• Perform hard-surface cleaning.
• Complete paperwork when a new water loss is reported.
• Input and check jobs using the MSM device.
• Support team members.
