Field Sales Representative - Water Restoration

About The Position

Roto-Rooter is seeking Field Sales Representatives for its Water Restoration department. The role identifies and sells services to mitigate water-related property damage for residential and commercial customers. Representatives assess properties to determine moisture levels and whether demolition and drying are needed to reach acceptable levels. They follow up with existing customers, provide repair or replacement quotes using the company’s pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines, close sales, and serve as a trusted information resource for customers. The position offers weekly base pay plus commission, with stated average earnings of $55,000–$75,000 per year, plus mileage reimbursement. Leads are provided, so cold calling is not required. Flexible work schedules are offered. Plumbing experience is not required, but knowledge of water restoration practices is required.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable background check under company standards.
Demonstrated focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of water restoration and practices; plumbing experience is not required.
Organized, self-starting, and outgoing personality.
Working knowledge of common software such as Word and Excel, and ability to use other Roto-Rooter computer programs.
Maintains IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certifications.
Medical clearance to wear a respirator and completion of a respirator fit test.

Nice To Haves

Previous outside sales experience, especially selling in-home services; other outside sales experience will also be considered.
