About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring a Field Sales Representative for its Water Restoration department. The role focuses on pursuing sales opportunities and qualified leads provided by field service technicians and call centers, identifying property damage mitigation needs, and selling water restoration solutions to residential and commercial customers. The position offers weekly base pay plus commission, with an advertised average of $55,000–$75,000 per year and mileage reimbursement. Leads are provided, so cold calling is not required. The schedule is flexible, with work availability required for days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. The representative assesses properties to determine moisture levels and whether demolition and drying are needed, follows up with existing customers, prepares competitive quotes using the company pricing matrix or insurance guidelines, and helps customers understand plumbing or water-related solutions. The role also requires maintaining specified water restoration certifications and medical clearance to wear a respirator and complete a fit test.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and an acceptable background check under company standards.
Demonstrated focus on providing outstanding customer service.
Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of water restoration and its practices; plumbing experience is not required.
Organized, self-starting, and outgoing personality.
Working knowledge of common software such as Word and Excel; use of Roto-Rooter-specific computer programs is also required.
Previous outside sales experience is considered; outside sales of in-home services is strongly desired.
Maintain IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certifications in Water Damage Restoration.
Medical clearance to wear a respirator and successful completion of a respirator fit test.
