Field Sales Representative - Water Restoration

About The Position

Roto-Rooter is seeking Field Sales Representatives for its Water Restoration department. The role focuses on identifying and selling solutions to mitigate water-related property damage for residential and commercial customers. Representatives receive qualified leads from field service technicians and call centers; cold calling is not required. Compensation includes weekly base pay plus commission, with advertised average annual earnings of $60,000–$80,000 and mileage reimbursement. Flexible work schedules are offered. Representatives assess properties to determine moisture levels and whether demolition and drying are needed to reach acceptable levels. They follow up with existing customers, provide information and solutions for plumbing or water-related issues, prepare competitive quotes using the company pricing matrix or insurance guidelines, and work to close sales. Water Restoration and practices knowledge is required; plumbing experience is not. The position requires availability for scheduled days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must maintain IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certifications, and must be medically cleared to wear a respirator and complete a respirator fit test. Requirements

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable background check under company standards.
Demonstrated focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of Water Restoration and practices; plumbing experience is not required.
Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality.
Working knowledge of common software such as Word and Excel, and ability to use other Roto-Rooter-specific computer programs.
Maintain IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certifications in Water Damage Restoration.
Medical clearance to wear a respirator and successful completion of a respirator fit test.

Nice To Haves

Previous outside sales experience, especially selling in-home services; other outside sales experience will also be considered.
