Field Sales Representative - Water Restoration
About The Position
Roto-Rooter is seeking Field Sales Representatives for its Water Restoration department. The role focuses on pursuing sales opportunities and qualified leads provided by field service technicians and call centers. The representative identifies and sells solutions to mitigate water-related property damage in residential and commercial settings, assesses moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying, follows up with customers, prepares competitive quotes using company pricing or insurance guidelines, and helps customers resolve plumbing or water-related issues. The position offers weekly base pay plus commission, provided leads with no cold calls, flexible work schedules, mileage reimbursement, and an average annual earning opportunity of $75,000–$100,000.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable background check per company standards.
- Demonstrated focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of water restoration and practices; plumbing experience is not required.
- Organized, self-starting approach and an outgoing personality.
- Working knowledge of common software such as Word and Excel, and ability to use Roto-Rooter-specific programs.
- Maintain IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certifications.
- Medical clearance to wear a respirator and successful completion of a respirator fit test.
Nice To Haves
- Previous outside sales experience, especially selling in-home services; other outside sales experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Identify and sell opportunities to mitigate water damage in residential and commercial properties.
- Assess properties to determine moisture levels and whether demolition and drying are needed to reach acceptable levels.
- Proactively follow up with existing customers to provide solutions for plumbing or water-related issues.
- Use the established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive repair or replacement quotes and close sales.
- Serve as a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
