About The Position

The Field Relief Manager fills in for vacationing General Managers at U-Haul centers in the area, providing coverage as needed to deliver exemplary customer service. The position enforces policies and inventory practices, reviews program implementation, and assists at centers to stay apprised of company programs. The manager also hires and educates new team members and participates in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University. The role is based at 3133 E Parham Rd, Henrico, Virginia 23228. Compensation is listed as $3,400 to $3,600 monthly. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The position may involve moderate workplace risks and physical exertion, including work indoors and outdoors and moving a minimum of 50 pounds, assisted or unassisted.

Requirements

1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit-and-loss (P&L) accountability.
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Computer expertise.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Provide coverage for General Managers on leave by enforcing policies and inventory practices.
Review implementation and assist at centers to stay apprised of all programs.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Hire and educate new team members.
