Field Relief Manager
About The Position
The Field Relief Manager fills in for vacationing General Managers at U-Haul centers in the area, providing coverage as needed to deliver customer service. The role involves enforcing policies and inventory practices, reviewing program implementation and assisting centers, and participating in ongoing training through U-Haul University. The manager also hires and educates new team members. The position is listed at $60,000 per year. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. The job includes working in environments with moderate risks or discomfort and may require protective gear. It also involves periods indoors and outdoors, remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to use tools, and moving at least 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
- Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Computer expertise.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for General Managers on leave by enforcing policies and inventory practices.
- Review program implementation and assist at centers to stay apprised of all programs.
- Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
- Hire and educate new team members.
