Field Relief Manager
About The Position
U-Haul’s Field Relief Manager provides coverage for vacationing or otherwise absent General Managers at nearby U-Haul centers. The role helps centers deliver exemplary customer service by enforcing company policies and inventory practices, reviewing and supporting the implementation of programs, and hiring and educating team members. The manager also participates in ongoing training through U-Haul University. The position is based at the listed Phoenix, Arizona location and requires travel among centers in the area as coverage is needed. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or rehire nicotine-product users in Arizona and the other listed states.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
- Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit-and-loss (P&L) accountability.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Computer expertise.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for General Managers on leave by enforcing policies and inventory practices.
- Review program implementation and assist at centers to stay apprised of all programs.
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
- Hire and educate new team members.
