About The Position

Seegrid is a provider of Physical AI for material handling, including autonomous mobile robots, fleet management software, analytics, and services. The Field Operations Engineer supports the operation and maintenance of technical systems and equipment deployed at customer sites. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and promptly resolving technical issues while maintaining a customer-focused approach. It is fully remote, based out of Seegrid’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania headquarters, and may require up to 80% travel.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical or mechanical technology, or at least 3 years of experience with complex machinery or industrial equipment.
• Advanced understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work long hours in noisy and busy environments.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong customer-facing skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use software to diagnose issues.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel extensively, domestically and internationally, and maintain a clean driving record; passport required.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities responsibly.
• Experience using Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and maintenance at customer sites; diagnose issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Partner with Seegrid Support, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to resolve customer concerns.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide feedback on product performance and reliability.
• Coach customer staff on safety, operation, and maintenance best practices.
• Maintain detailed daily records and reports, including resolutions, time, expenses, and materials.
• Remain prepared for customer service calls that may require short-notice travel.
• Develop skills through regular product and software training.
• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.
