GE HealthCare•Pittsburgh, PA
•$48,000 - $72,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Field Engineer Apprentice observes and performs equipment service processes and procedures to support customer satisfaction and the proper functioning of less complex customer diagnostic imaging equipment. This is an onsite, customer-facing service role maintaining and repairing medical equipment in hospitals and clinical settings, where the apprentice represents GE HealthCare at customer sites. The one-year apprenticeship is designed to prepare candidates for a long-term career in field service. Its schedule is aligned with the anticipated availability of an internal position to support continuity of employment after program completion. Completion of the apprenticeship and conversion to a full-time internal position depend on performance, business need, and role availability. Candidates open to relocation may have a better chance of placement. In 2025, 84% of apprentices completing the program moved into full-time internal positions.
