Field Marketing Manager

NimbleWay•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Nimble is seeking a Senior Field Marketing Manager to own the company’s field presence, including planning, logistics, on-site execution, and follow-up for industry conferences, regional summits, developer hackathons and meetups, ABM and customer events, executive dinners, and partner co-marketing activations. The role connects Marketing, Ecosystem, Sales, and leadership, with autonomy and responsibility for demonstrating event impact through data. The manager owns event strategy and the annual calendar, deciding which events to invest in and how Nimble participates. Responsibilities include managing budgets and sponsorship and vendor negotiations, building partner relationships, designing event programming, coordinating venues and contracts, arranging run-of-show, speaking slots, and booths, and briefing executives and sellers. The role also owns target-list development with Sales, post-event follow-up, collaboration with Ecosystem on developer events, and reporting event ROI to leadership in terms of meetings and pipeline. The manager is expected to bring an informed perspective on events to go-to-market planning and discontinue formats that do not produce results. The position calls for an organized, creative, autonomous operator who can manage multiple events and stakeholders, communicate with executives and cross-functional teams, own the sales handoff, and stay calm when issues arise on event days. Nimble describes its workplace values as clarity, ownership, and trust; it moves quickly while caring about sustainability and expects leaders to think as well as execute.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years managing events at a high-growth B2B technology company; AI or data experience is strongly preferred.
  • Existing relationships across enterprise and AI-native technical companies; deep connections in San Francisco or New York are a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated success planning both developer-focused events, such as hackathons, meetups, and technical conferences, and executive-level events, such as dinners, summits, and customer gatherings.
  • Experience owning the full event lifecycle, including planning, pre-event logistics, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Strong vendor management, budgeting, and negotiation skills.
  • A data-driven approach to events, including defining metrics, tracking ROI, and reporting results to senior management.
  • Experience supporting large industry events and regional summits.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple events and stakeholders.
  • Creative approach to event planning and programming.
  • Autonomy and ownership from initial idea through final follow-up, with minimal dependency on others.
  • Clear communication with executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stay calm when issues arise on event days.
  • Ability to evaluate events in terms of pipeline, not just attendance.
