Field Marketing Manager

NimbleWay•New York, NY

About The Position

Nimble is seeking a Senior Field Marketing Manager to own its field presence from planning and logistics through on-site execution and follow-up. The role covers industry conferences, regional summits, developer hackathons and meetups in partnership with the Ecosystem team, ABM and customer events, executive dinners, and partner co-marketing activations. The manager connects Marketing, Ecosystem, Sales, and leadership, operating with substantial autonomy and using data to demonstrate each event’s impact. The role owns event strategy and the annual calendar, decides which events to invest in, negotiates sponsorships and vendors, and manages the budget end to end. It also owns event programming, venues, contracts, run-of-show, speaking slots, and booths; prepares executives and sellers; and serves as the on-site decision-maker. Working with Sales, the manager builds target lists and ensures timely follow-up, while collaborating with Ecosystem on developer-focused events. The manager reports event ROI to leadership in terms of meetings and pipeline and contributes an informed point of view to go-to-market planning. Nimble describes itself as a leader in AI web search, providing products used by businesses to build AI agents with accurate, auditable programmatic access to the web. It has raised over $70 million and has hundreds of enterprise customers. The company values clarity, ownership, and trust, moves quickly while caring about sustainability, and expects leaders to think as well as execute.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of event-management experience at a high-growth B2B technology company.
  • Existing relationships across enterprise and AI-native technical companies.
  • Demonstrated success planning developer-focused events such as hackathons, meetups, and technical conferences, as well as executive-level events such as dinners, summits, and customer gatherings.
  • Proven ownership of the full event lifecycle, including planning, pre-event logistics, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Strong vendor management, budgeting, and negotiation skills.
  • A data-driven approach to events, including comfort defining metrics, tracking ROI, and reporting results to senior management.
  • Experience supporting large industry events and regional summits.
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple events and stakeholders.
  • Creativity in event design and programming rather than relying on obvious formats.
  • Autonomy and ownership from initial idea through final follow-up, with minimal dependency on others.
  • Clear communication with executives and cross-functional teams, and ownership of the sales handoff.
  • Ability to stay calm when day-of issues arise.
  • Ability to discuss event performance in terms of pipeline rather than attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the AI or data space.
  • Deep connections in San Francisco or New York.

Responsibilities

  • Decide which events to invest in, how Nimble will participate, and which events to leave.
  • Own the annual calendar of conferences, hackathons and meetups, regional summits, executive dinners, and partner co-marketing activations.

  • Leverage existing and build new partner relationships to amplify Nimble’s event presence.
  • Own venues, contracts, run-of-show, speaking slots, and booths.
  • Design event programming that makes events valuable to attendees.
  • Brief executives and sellers so they share a consistent event story.
  • Serve as the on-site decision-maker and handle day-of issues independently.
  • Build target lists with Sales before each event.
  • Run post-event follow-up so leads are acted on rather than lost in a spreadsheet.
  • Partner with Ecosystem on hackathons and meetups, including events where working demos build trust.
  • Report event ROI to leadership using meetings and pipeline metrics rather than badge scans.
  • Discontinue event formats that do not convert.
  • Bring an informed point of view on events to go-to-market planning.
