About The Position

As a client Field/Computer Technician, the Field Engineer is assigned service requests to repair laptops and desktops in the Kansas City metro area and surrounding areas. Repair work may include replacing hard drives, motherboards, and keyboards, performing whole-unit swaps, and repairing or replacing PC peripherals. The position requires reliable transportation and closing service tickets in real time in the Client Call Management system using a company-provided phone. This is a 14-month temporary assignment involving driving.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
• General knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware and software.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to resolve basic, non-complex problems as directed.
• Reliable transportation for servicing the metro area and surrounding areas.

• Computer-building background experience.
