About The Position
TekWissen is recruiting for a client, a global information technology company that provides high-performance, industry-focused solutions with leading-edge security to government, financial services, and commercial markets. The client’s offerings include security software and services, digital transformation and workplace services, industry applications and services, and software operating environments for high-intensity enterprise computing. The Field Engineer 4 will work as a Client Field/Computer Technician, handling service requests to repair laptops and desktop computers throughout the Costa Mesa metro area and surrounding locations. Work includes component repairs and replacements, whole-unit swaps, and repair or replacement of PC peripherals. The technician must have reliable transportation and use a company-provided phone to close service tickets in real time in the client’s Call Management system. This is a three-month temporary assignment involving driving.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on laptop and desktop break-fix experience.
- Reliable transportation for servicing the metro area and surrounding locations.
- General knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to resolve basic, non-complex problems as directed.

- Computer-building background experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle assigned service requests to repair laptops and desktop computers in the metro area and surrounding locations.
- Perform repairs such as replacing hard drives, motherboards, and keyboards.
- Perform whole-unit swaps and repair or replace PC peripherals.
- Close service tickets in real time in the client Call Management system using a company-provided phone.
