About The Position

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, is hiring a Field Auto Adjuster for the Atlanta, Georgia area. The role creates or audits comprehensive estimates of damage for first- and third-party material damage claims in auto or specialty lines and determines the proper disposition. The adjuster also provides training, mentoring, quality control, and technical assistance on material damage claims. Candidates should be local and able to travel within downtown Atlanta, inside the I-285 perimeter.

The position requires strong estimating fundamentals and a deep understanding of company policy types. It handles complex files across multiple lines, including negotiating settlements, issuing settlement payments, documenting claim activities, and assessing settlement alternatives for regulatory compliance and fair claims practices. The adjuster builds effective relationships with internal and external customers. The role has no supervisory duties.

Requirements

• Strong estimating fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Local to the Atlanta, Georgia area and able to travel within downtown Atlanta inside the I-285 perimeter.
• Authorization to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas.

Responsibilities

• Create or audit damage estimates for first- and third-party material damage losses of all severities.
• Train, mentor, control quality, and provide technical assistance on material damage claims.
• Apply knowledge of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document activities in complex files across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement alternatives for regulatory compliance and fair claims practices, and decide on the best option.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines.
• Travel within the downtown Atlanta area inside the I-285 perimeter.
