About The Position

GEICO is hiring an experienced Auto Damage Adjuster to handle auto damage claims in the Westchester, New York area. The role calls for at least 12 months of auto damage experience and a demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service while settling claims promptly and accurately. The adjuster will use technical and industry knowledge to handle complex claims. Work may be remote, in the field, or in an office, and the primary work location may need to be flexible. The position offers an annual salary range of $36.63–$57.49; the final rate depends on factors including role scope, experience, education and training, location, and market and business considerations. Candidates who hold an active adjuster license in good standing are eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus. GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

Requirements

At least 12 months of auto damage experience.
Motor Vehicle Damage Adjuster/Appraiser's License.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet company underwriting guidelines.
Ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits.
Solid computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and effective decision-making skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, and willingness to develop these abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
