Auto Damage Adjuster (Field)
About The Position
GEICO is hiring an experienced Auto Damage Adjuster to work in the New Haven, Connecticut territory. This is not a remote role; the position requires working in the territory listed in the posting, and may involve remote, field, or in-office work. The adjuster will handle auto damage claims, including complex claims, using technical and industry knowledge, and is expected to settle claims promptly and accurately while delivering excellent customer service. Candidates must have at least 12 months of auto damage experience and a record of success in customer service and claims settlement. The posted annual salary range is $36.63–$57.49; the final rate depends on factors including role responsibilities, experience, education and training, work location, and market and business considerations. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered to candidates with an active adjuster license in good standing. GEICO does not sponsor new applicants for employment authorization for this position.
Requirements
- At least 12 months of auto damage experience.
- Motor Vehicle Damage Adjuster/Appraiser's License.
- Valid driver’s license meeting company underwriting guidelines.
- Ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits.
- Solid computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and multitasking skills.
- Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and willingness to expand these abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
