About The Position

GEICO is hiring an experienced Auto Damage Adjuster to work in the Berkeley, California territory. This is not a remote role, and the position may require remote, field, or in-office work depending on business needs and the primary work location. The adjuster will handle complex auto damage claims using technical and industry knowledge, while providing excellent customer service and settling claims promptly and accurately. Candidates must have at least 12 months of auto damage experience and a track record of successful customer service and claim resolution. Starting pay varies by position and location. The posted annual salary range is $36.63–$57.49; the final hourly rate or annual salary depends on factors including role responsibilities, experience, education and training, work location, and market and business considerations. GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

Requirements

At least 12 months of auto damage experience.
Motor Vehicle Damage Adjuster/Appraiser's License.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet company underwriting guidelines.
Ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits.
Willingness to be flexible with primary work location; the position may require remote, field, or in-office work.
Solid computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and multitasking skills.
Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and willingness to expand these abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
