About The Position

Texas Instruments’ Career Accelerator Program (CAP) provides professional and technical training and resources to support employees’ ramp-up and long-term career development. The FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Program prepares Sales & Applications team members for customer-oriented careers that combine technical skills and business perspectives. The Field Applications Engineer track is a 12-month program with three rotations. The Field Sales Office rotation focuses on working directly with customers to solve technical challenges and provide systems-level solutions that address design needs while maximizing TI revenue. Participants analyze technical trade-offs, component selection, and design and cost challenges. The Mass Market rotation trains participants to scale actions across customers, create more efficient sales processes, leverage TI resources and automation, practice scalable selling techniques, make decisions in imperfect circumstances, and interact directly with customers. The Business Unit/Systems Engineering & Marketing rotation provides hands-on experience with how TI components fit together in systems-level solutions, as well as training in business acumen, technical capabilities, and processes for new product definition and introduction. Topics include technical product selection, schematic and layout capture, PCB layouts, fabrication processes, board bring-up, and validation. After successfully completing the program, participants join the Digital Selling Systems team as Field Applications Engineers. The team uses TI’s selling platform to identify mass-market opportunities and work with customers to convert them to revenue at scale. Digital Selling FAEs identify potential projects, proactively propose complete system-level solutions that maximize TI content, and use broad technical expertise to influence customers’ component selection while positioning TI favorably against competitors. Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.
