•$154,400 - $202,700•Hybrid

About The Position

The Field Access Specialist (FAS) supports timely and successful patient access to prescribed UCB medications by educating healthcare providers and helping them navigate payer barriers. The role bridges the gap between a prescriber’s clinical decision and the start of patient treatment. It is a non-promotional position within UCB’s Market Access, Access and Reimbursement Department and covers the Hartford, Connecticut territory. The FAS supports sites of care with local, regional, and national payer coverage, pharmacy benefits, and payer policies for UCB Immunology medicines. These sites include private and group practices, academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, integrated health systems, specialty pharmacies, and other care settings in the assigned geography. The position focuses on supporting Dermatology accounts that prescribe UCB medicines, with particular attention to new-account experiences and positive outcomes for accounts and patients. The FAS works with office staff to establish effective processes and improve operations supporting patient care. The role monitors dashboards and patient-support cases, coordinates with HUB case managers and specialty pharmacy partners, and responds to escalations when a patient’s access to medicine may be at risk. The FAS also collaborates with internal stakeholders and peers, and leads field-based initiatives when payer changes affect access locally, regionally, or nationally. UCB describes its workplace approach as hybrid-first, with teams meeting in local hubs. Unless the position description states otherwise or the nature of the role precludes it, employees spend 40% of their time in the office. The company describes a caring, supportive, inclusive culture, opportunities for growth, and freedom to develop one’s career path.
