About The Position

UCB is seeking a Field Access Specialist (FAS) for the Austin, Texas territory to join its Market Access & Reimbursement team. The role supports timely and successful patient access to prescribed UCB medications by educating healthcare providers on navigating payer barriers, bridging the gap between prescribing decisions and treatment initiation. It is a non-promotional position within UCB’s Market Access, Access and Reimbursement Department. The FAS supports sites of care on local, regional, and national payer coverage, pharmacy benefits, and payer policies for UCB Immunology medicines. These sites include private and group practices, academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks and health systems, dermatology departments, specialty pharmacies, and other care sites in the assigned geography. The role has an enhanced focus on new-account experiences and positive outcomes for accounts and patients. The specialist partners with office staff to establish functional processes and improve operations, monitors dashboards and patient-access cases, and coordinates with HUB case managers and specialty pharmacy partners. The FAS also works with internal field colleagues and peers, addresses payer changes that affect access, and educates accounts on steps to support patient care. The position is based in the Austin territory, and the specialist must reside within the assigned territory. UCB describes its general approach as hybrid-first, with 40% of time spent in the office unless the position’s nature or description precludes that arrangement. The anticipated base salary range is $154,400–$202,700. Actual salary may vary based on related knowledge, skills, experience, location, and other factors, and may fall outside the stated range.
