About The Position

The Field Access Specialist (FAS) supports timely, successful patient access to prescribed UCB medications by educating healthcare providers on navigating payer barriers. This non-promotional role bridges prescribers’ clinical decisions and patients’ treatment initiation, supporting sites of care on local, regional, and national payer coverage, pharmacy benefits, and payer policies for UCB Immunology medicines. The territory is Atlanta South, and the role reports to UCB’s Market Access, Access and Reimbursement Department. The FAS supports Dermatology accounts that prescribe UCB medicines, with an enhanced focus on new-account experiences and positive outcomes for accounts and patients. The specialist partners with office staff to establish effective operational processes and improve patient care, monitors dashboards and HUB cases, and coordinates interventions when access to medicine is at risk. The role works with internal teams and external partners, including HUB case managers, specialty pharmacies, Regional and District Sales Leads, Clinical Account Specialists, and other Field Access team members. The FAS also leads field initiatives responding to payer changes that affect patient access. The position is hybrid-first under UCB’s general approach, with 40% of time spent in the office unless the nature of the position or the description precludes it. The role requires residence within the assigned territory and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
